The 912 had significantly better weight distribution than the 911 and was 125 kg lighter! Therefore, there was no substantial difference in their performance. The improved 90 horsepower engine from the 356 was so popular that the 912 outsold the 911 for a long period, even though the price difference was relatively small. The 912 continued in production until 1969, when the new "price leader" 914 took over.

This car was originally sold in San Francisco but is now in European specification. It's a very early short wheelbase (SWB); later both the 911 and 912 were lengthened by 57 mm (LWB). The car was built by Karmann in Germany, and when it arrived in Denmark, it was yellow. During the car's renovation, it was restored to its original "Irish Green" color. The car was originally equipped with features such as a Blaupunkt radio, 5-speed gearbox, and Fuchs magnesium wheels. The previous owner restored it between 2004-2006, and it still appears exceptionally neat and presentable.

The engine is an aftermarket "big bore" with 1720 cc to enjoy. A Nardi steering wheel further enhances the sporty interior. Other than these upgrades, the car remains completely stock.
