This XJS was imported from Italy, where it is believed to have been delivered new. It was then brought to Germany in 2006, and it comes with German registration, making it ready for the road. Its low mileage is thoroughly documented through comprehensive maintenance and service records, as well as with handwritten dialogue between previous owners during the transfer of ownership.

The XJS was relaunched in its final form in May 1991 under Ford Motor Company's ownership, with notable updates including an enlarged rear side window appearance, a flush-fitting windscreen, and redesigned rear fascia and trunk lid. The model boasts a distinctive character with its understated buttresses, a design feature appreciated by enthusiasts.

Under the bonnet, this XJS is equipped with the renowned V12 engine, which was upgraded in 1992 to 6.0 liters with a power output of 227 kW (304 hp). The engine benefits from improved fuel injection and ignition systems, with a tidy engine bay and updated transmission options, including a GM 4L80E with a fourth-gear overdrive. The interior features a redesigned instrument pack, replacing the classic drum gauges with a more conventional binnacle, enhancing driver readability.

Additional features include aerodynamic bumpers matched in body color, outboard rear brakes introduced in 1993, and a refined exterior and interior design that reflect the model's final evolution. The vehicle’s low mileage, along with its documented service history, make it a desirable collector's piece and a rewarding driving experience.

This Jaguar XJS Convertible is a distinguished example of late 20th-century automotive craftsmanship, combining elegance, performance, and one of the last great V12's. An excellent opportunity for enthusiasts seeking a well-maintained, low-mileage classic with an interesting provenance.
